After a month of letting its new format breathe, Entravision Communications has announced a new on-air lineup for the Los Angeles-area trimulcast “La Suavecita.” The new station, described as a regional Mexican format “playing a mix of Grupero and Cumbia music from the ‘80s and ‘90s,” broadcasts on the 107.1 signals of KSSE Arcadia, KSSD Fallbrook and KSSC Ventura.

Those stations were the former longtime home of Spanish CHR “Super Estrella 107.1.”

The daily on-air lineup begins with “El Show de Piolin” in mornings, followed by Mayra Berenice in middays and afternoons covered by the “LM Show,” which is billed as “the only radio entertainment celebrity gossip show on-air and online.” “Piolin” was previously heard in the market on Univision regional Mexican KSCA (101.9).

“Entravision is excited to have launched La Suavecita and to bring this new regional format to our dedicated listeners,” Entravision Los Angeles senior VP Jaime Jiménez said. “Los Angeles remains the No. 1 Hispanic radio market and we are proud to be the first Spanish-language station here to play this music full time, adapting to the current listening preferences of the Latino audience.”

“We are excited to introduce a brand-new format to our listeners and continue to show them why we are the best in radio programming,” director of programming Nestor Rocha added. “We know that our fans will continue to give the same love and support to La Suavecita that they showed to Super Estrella for the past two decades.”

As Inside Radio reported earlier, Super Estrella continues as a digital-only service at SuperEstrella.com, with a choice of four digital streams: Clásico, Rock, Nuevo and Club SE.
